happy holidays, my car is dead

Dropped 4 feet off the back of a truck. It is fucked bad, tow truck's insurance company should cover it thankfully.

Sunday, December 21, 2008

So I broke my schedule of daily posting.

But I intend on going back to it, I have no excuse not to post something every day again. So I will make a serious effort to get back to that.

I have been really sick for the last 2 days

to the point that it was a challenge to even stay upright for long on thursday, and I left work early today after saying something to my boss in a way that was not intended. I basically gave him an ultimatum when I meant to make a plea. I do not think that went over well. As of this post, I have written a page and a half long letter explaining and apologizing for being rude. I am going to give a copy to him and my operations manager as soon as I see them both.

I'm going to be poor company for a few days

I think I need to avoid people I like for a little while, My mood has taken a general turn for the really negative. Sorry anybody I am rude to for a while.

Sunday, November 30, 2008

got sent home early today

we were badly overstaffed at work and I volunteered. Then I did some wicked sick napping for like 5 hours, it was great.

OH YEAH. Making mashed potatoes and PIES!!!! Just a few more days and it's on.

Sunday, November 23, 2008

I don't know what the cause is

but I am not feeling well today, I think it's the last vestiges of illnesss working their way out of my system. Not going to play any WoW or fallout tonight. Just sleep and maybe a scalding hot shower to perk me up.

In other news: My team's "shift bid" happened and it's like 80% people on the team keeping their same schedule, that includes me.

Twilight was very good

The movie did tend to center close in shots on peoples noses which, besides the soundtrack, may be my biggest complaint. They also chopped things up a bit and some detail was left out, but it did not detract significantly from the overall film.

Overall rating 7.2/10

Thursday, November 20, 2008

still not 70+

fallout ate yet another evening of my life.

Speaking of eating, I am so looking forward to thanksgiving.

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

It's hard to get motivated

there seems to be no energy left in me, just enough to putter about and barely function. Probably from being sick lately.

Shooting for that level 70 moon

I guess it's more like skylab now, but still. Hope to be hitting that shit by wednesday night.

Sunday, November 16, 2008

Something topical goes here

Almost the weekend, plenty of reading, fallout and WoW time to use. Just got to get through monday.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Fallout 3 is bloody fantastic

I ended up playing for like 5 hours straight. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward and fun, also very visually appealing.

Friday, November 14, 2008

Quantum of Solace...

MORE LIKE QUANTUM OF FUCKING AMAZING. It takes off from where the last one ended (or not too long after), sets up at least another movie after it AND is enough of a self contained story that you could have missed the first one and it would still both make sense and be freaking awesome.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Wrath of the lich king

It IS NIGH!!! Wednesday night, after 10pm I will be at gamestop waiting in line. YAY!

Sunday, November 9, 2008

Do you know what the best part about throwing up at work is?

The answer is: Being able to leave early and get no objections from managers or supervisors at all. The worst part is throwing up in a place that is marginally more comfortable than a doctor's office. all corporate and beige.

Saturday, November 8, 2008

I got a new video card for my pc

But it needs a special adapter to work, so it'll have to wait to be used until I can get that.

WHOOOO!

Obama takes it, with nearly twice the electoral votes as McCain.

McCain's concession speech was pretty damned good. I look forward to big changes on the horizon. Big changes for the whole country.

Monday, November 3, 2008

election day

Gonna have cake and something on election day. I like food.

Sunday, November 2, 2008

I need to get less grumpy

I'm starting to piss myself off with how crotchety I have been lately. I don't know what it is, other than a convocation of unrelated events that is causing it. But I know it needs to stop.

I also know that I'm probably pissing my friends off, so to them I say "Sorry Guys". To my sister I also say "Sorry for being a prick for no reason".

Fortunately for myself, and those around me, I feel a positive change on the horizon. I think that good things are coming everybody's way in the next couple of months, and I really think it will be possible to escape the bizarre slouch everyone is in.

In Political type stuff: My official prediction is that McCain will gain no more than 43% of the electoral vote. Which is pretty good considering I don't think the republicans are trying to win anymore. If you haven't yet, GET your ballot in. If you didn't get one, then head to the election office and have them give you a new one there. It's important.

Gas Prices continue to drop, with the lowest I have seen so far at $2.39 a gallon, at this rate we may be sub $2.00 by march. I, for one, do like getting around 4 gallons when I spend ten dollars.

In my job type stuff: They have eliminated the Helpdesk that they were cramming us into instead of our chats. This seems to be due to it being a violation of our contract with sprint. Which means the company is likely going to be penalized just like the last time this happened. To give you an Idea of what a penalty might look like, the last time this happened we lost more than I make in a year, before taxes.

Oh, one more thing. I'm getting a newer video card from a coworker, it's gonna run me $50. So why not.

Enough typing, it's bedtime. Goodnight everyone.

TIME TRAVEL

It is nigh upon the hour of the day. Soon we shall traverse rearwards through the unceasing chronological river, arriving a full 60 minutes before we departed. Chrononauts in every sense of the word.

Yay for 1 more hour of sleep tonight!

I have completed voting...

I shall be depositing my ballot in a drop box before sunday, just to be sure. I voted democratic candidates and reviewed the League of Women Voters site (I trust their opinions on the issues) before selecting for ballot measures.

POLITICS... SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Stop asking stupid questions.

They aren't brain teasers. Here's a couple of examples:
"If Nothing sticks to teflon, how do they get teflon to stick to the pan?"
THEY SPRAY IT ON, IT'S LOW STICK CHARACTERISTICS HAPPEN AFTER IT HAS DRIED AND HARDENED. And things do stick to it, just not strongly in most cases.

Or

What if the [Color] you see isn't the same as the [color] I see, WHOA MAN?
1) it doesn't matter, we all agree it is the same thing, even in isolation we would do this.
2) Color doesn't change for different observers. Our feelings about it may, but the color is the same. This is true, with very minor variations, of the human eye and the way that it handles the perception.

not because the patch content is weak or anything like that, but because the servers kept going down and glitching. I'm sure it'll be corrected by tomorrow.

yep overtime still sucks

only 2 hours this time, and it was still soul crushing.

I don't know why, but my overtime is always full of the worst customers in the history of bad customers.

Saturday, October 11, 2008

now I remember why I avoid overtime

4 hours of back to back calls with soul crushingly awful customers. I would rather eat my own dick with a piece of shattered wine glass then do that again like that.

macaroni and cheese...

Nature's perfect food. And by nature I of course mean, AMERICA.

Made from scratch once again, it's really funny that the macaroni takes longer to cook than homemade cheese sauce. I can post a recipe if people request it, suffice to say it is radcore to the maxcore.

I am onto your tricks...

Cyanide and Happiness, a daily webcomic
Cyanide & Happiness @ Explosm.net

I'm tired of people snapping at me about nothing

especially when I take steps to avoid doing something wrong and they still snap at me. I try as hard as I fucking can and don't get a goddamned break even from the people around me who only consume and do not contribute.

Sick and fucking tired of it.

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

In other news, that need their own post

My sister's (Former-ish) best friend came back into town not too long ago and has been bubbling some stress into our lives like a vile stench rising from a pocket of rotting matter at the bottom of a bog. Just today that friend: Got in a big fight with her father, left that house in a huff, revealed that she is a heroin junkie, left a bunch of probably used needles all over her dad's house, and has just caused my sister to start breaking down and crying.

Whoo.

In other news: Krysis still "Can't Get In Touch" with his friend vinnie who has my goddamned money in his bank account. If I don't get paid by this friday, I may have to confer with a lawyer to see what my options are.

Again Whoo.

I'm loving FF7 Crisis Core

Yes, I know it's several months old and I shouldn't wax poetic about it, so I'm not going to. I will simply state the following:
1) Mechanics can be a little strange but are solid throughout.
2) The mission system seems a little haphazard in how it assigns the difficulty, as I had an easier time with some Hard missions than I did with some of the Normal ones.
3) The lack of different weapons seems a bit hampering but isn't really that bad
4) the "DMW" system doesn't make any damned sense.

But it's fun enough that I have a hard time putting it down so I can go to sleep, which is not something I can say about every game, not even every JRPG in all fairness.

Overall Score: 7/10
It's a bit funky, sets up the main game pretty well and fills a hole that is rpg shaped with some pretty graphics.

The encoder did work

Meaning I can convert movies to play on the PSP with minimal effort, it just takes time and ties up system resources. This means that the best time to do it is while I am at work.

Saturday, September 27, 2008

I am constantly tired

all day, almost every day I am exhausted. naps good.

Also, I am testing a file converter for videos on the psp, so hope that works.

Friday, September 26, 2008

I can Has psp

I got one today, sold my DS to do it, butI wasn't playing my DS so it was ok.

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Tomorrow night, steaks...

I'm feeling a smidge uppity, and on friday night it's gonna be steak night. It's a bitter emotional need that I will sate by visiting the "Outback Steakhouse" on 82nd in clackamas, it's going to be on the late side, but anybody who is interested is welcome to join us.

On another note: My puppy got clipped by a car today on harold street. She is reasonably unharmed, but it was one of the most gut-wrenchingly scary things I have ever experienced.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

gummi bears, fruit snacks and the smell of vomit...

It's not what you think, I didn't throw up (tempting as it is as a method to get out of work). I just remembered that when you eat a lot of gummi type stuff, your hands get that faint and milky vomit odor about them. That's all.

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

rage and nothing interesting

I am full of the anger and the nothing to say today. Other than Zoom was an awfulf movie with way too much smash mouth.

Monday, September 22, 2008

weekend is here!

Huzzah I say! It brings with a feeling of ease and potential relaxation. I don't want to go out more that necessary and sleeping in is a definite must.

On a completely unrelated note: I just thought of a roleplaying experience from when I was just starting. I was playing with my friend ricky, and some older friends of his. One of the players was playing a cleric who had an prochronism (that is acting in the fashion of a time that has not yet occured, the inverse of anachronism). She would not provide healing or ressurection spells for anybody who was dead for more than 5 minutes, because they were brain dead. This bothers me intensely because that is something we weren't even sure about how long it took until the last couple of centuries. How would a holy person, in a low tech, high fantasy setting have any conception of this at all? It's like a victorian gentleman not using a coal burning steam engine because gas/electric hybrids are more efficient.

I'm not sure why I thought of that now, after all these years.

Sunday, September 21, 2008

I'm feeling sick too much...

I thinks it's work related, but it may just be general stress induced problems. I think some days when I am sick it is not that I am actually ill, but rather the stress getting to the point that my body makes me sick so I will take a day off of things. I need to not have this kind of stress in my life any more. I need to live with roomates who will be responsible and not leave me paying the vast majority of the bills. I need my father to stop weaseling out of paying a fair share for my sister while she lives with me.

I need all of these things and more. But those are a start. Less stress or I may not live to see the age of 30. Pathetically, in some ways, all I need to get rid of my stress is to be out of debt, not owing money to anyone or anything would do wonders for me. I don't even owe very much when it comes down to it, I have less than $5000 of outstanding debt, and that includes private debts to other people.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

I need to blow off some steam really badly

I haven't been to the firing range recently. So I really want to take one of my days off to go and shoot. It's a whole lot of fun and will help me divert some of the aggression that I have been needlessly taking out on friends and coworkers. Anybody who wants to go with me, let me know and i'll try to work out a time that works for as many people as possible. I will let you know it's a little expensive, seeing as each time I've gone has cost me nearly $40, but that is with the cost of all the ammo and everything, so not that bad considering.

Friday, September 19, 2008

One of my roomates has moved out

and is probably going to stiff me for hundreds of dollars in past rent. I may have to take that fucker to small claims court.

Thursday, September 18, 2008

I need a new job again

or to be independently wealthy, so that I never have to want for anything reasonable again. Maybe the stock market crash will kill some credit card debt or something.

A man can dream.

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

I don't think I'm going to work tomorrow

I don't feel well and I think I need a day to get less not good. Yeah... I said that.

NEVAR FORRGET

Have a happy and glorious Reminder of International Tragedy Day!

I wish I had a burning twin towers cake and an Osama Bin Laden piñata, "Bin Laden" with stuff! We could play party games like "pin the blame on the loosely affiliated country" and sit around drinking punch and laughing gaily until the wee hours of the morning. Truly September 11th is a magical day, where we can sit around together as americans and backhandedly pretend to be part of the global community instead of just the global economy. It's a delightful reminder that you can gift wrap opportunity for some people and they would rather use it as a fireplace starter than open it up.

Yessir, I will always remember September 11th the day that Osama Bin Laden rode from his sinister space hideout and crashed the spiders from mars into the twin towers. I Rember the wave after wave of Mutant death spores let loose from their gleaming canisters. Truly a Day we can never forget!

Sadly the economic downturn means I cannot afford such modern holiday celebrations. But I guess that's ok, I'll just have to have fun on hallowween, and Guy Fawkes day this year.

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Got my priest to level 22

yeah, that's right. 22 baby, I'm on my way up and it's popsicles from here, popsicles I say.

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

Contrary to my love of naps, I have a terrible hatred of headaches

And the one I have now is driving me mad. Even a shower and several hour nap didn't eliminate it, but they did help. I'm probably just going to go to bed soon anyway.

Monday, September 8, 2008

I love me some naps

Gonna try one now, so I don't have to sleep all night. Gotta get to 20 Doncha know.

Sunday, September 7, 2008

power rangers is the most american show ever made

So very american, no other show so takes other people's hard work and remakes it

Saturday, September 6, 2008

almost my weekend

just one more soul crushing, stultifying day at work and the week is over.

Friday, September 5, 2008

MONEY IS ALWAYS THE FUCKING PROBLEM

I am like, $60 fucking dollars short on rent and that is after the $140 my roomate krysis gave me. Just paying that means I still don't have money for gas to get to work for the 3 days that I need to worry about that, I'm going to have to scavenge and beg, I'm probably going to end up owing my mom even more money.

I can't keep borrowing and delaying everything. Bills fucking pile up in no time and I can't do a goddamned thing about them.

I want to laugh, then cry and then cry some more.

Maybe I just need to find a new place to live, and not let more than one other person possibly screw me over. The worst part, the very worst is that I understand why everybody is so poor and why the money goes less distance every fucking month. It is goddamned ridiculous.

Thursday, September 4, 2008

I kind of feel like giving up

I don't think things are ever allowed to stabilize for me. Every time something somewhat good happens, something shitty happens too. I think it's the universe's way of telling me I should just live my life joylessly and away from other people. I think i'll go to bed early tonight.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

In the last 2 days...

I have watched over 15 episodes of Power Rangers on the youtube. I am somewhat ashamed of myself, but it's really hard to stop looking. It's like a brightly colored trainwreck. Some of the most fun is trying to spot when they have inserted new american footage into the old Sentai footage. It is, in fact, Hilarious.

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

I'm gunning for your rock band spot

That's right, i'm learning fake drums. This will help round out my set of fake musician skills. I'm still on easy, but i'm going to work through the world tour and get me to medium, and then do it again for hard and so on.

watch your backs

Mind Crush...

I've gotten back into watching Yugi-Oh The Abridged Series and have come to the conclusion that the guy who does it is way too clever to not have something bigger given to him.

Sunday, August 31, 2008

rolled on another server

that's right, I'm playing with work friends too. On an RP server... as an alliance character. whoo.

Friday, August 29, 2008

Early day tomorrow

Need to get to bed before it gets too late or I'm going to really, really regret not getting enough sleep.

Thursday, August 28, 2008

I was going to go to a party friday night...

But thanks to my new schedule I can't. I have to be at work at 7 goddamn o'clock the next morning. I am pissed off, I was going to get pretty drunk.

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Nothing to see here... Right now.

I am going to be adding some more links, videos and what have you in the near future, seeing as I will have more daylight hours in which to do so.

To those going to PAX this year I offer 3 messages:
1) Have Fun, and stay out of the boring kind of trouble.
2) Bring me something, I like swag as much as, or more than, anybody else.
3) I wish I was going with you guys.

Also, If they ever had a European PAX, they should have it in the capital of Italy. You know, so they can call it PAX Romana.

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

So sick I started to hallucinate at work

That's right folks, I am so unwell that I had visual sensory disruptions at work. They are currently in abeyance, but it freaked me right the fuck out. Hallucinations of any degree are only fun if you are expecting and are ready for them.

Basically I have some weird stomach bug going on. I went outside on break today to get some fresh air, and the asphalt appeared to be breathing. Then I went inside, everything was fuzzy on the borders except my computer monitor, which was split into 3 slightly out of sync images, one green, one blue and one red, all stacked imperfectly on top of each other. It was especially odd because it is an LCD monitor and they don't work like that at all. Then the floor was swirling/breathing and that's when I decided to go home.

Thank god I wasn't on "Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake" or there might have been blue snakes coming out of my eyes.

EDIT: Holy crap I hit 100 posts of absolutely nothing. I'm serious business now.

Double Plus EDIT: I don't know why I didn't mention this earlier. One of my sister's friends took her own life on the 21st, we just found out today. I'm glad I was home when my sister found out. Not that she would have done anything stupid, but just so I could offer the kind of support people need when they hear that kind of news. Her friend's dad came and gave her the news in person. From what I understand, she had a history of depression and some friends left her alone while she was under the influence of psychedelic mushrooms. It's not good times for anybody. But it is definitely relevant enough for me to post about.

So, yeah.

Goodnight viewers and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Just got back from eugene

I was there all day, and it was good times. My mom took me, my sister, Ian and my moms friend out to dinner. I'm pretty tired.

Friday, August 22, 2008

still problems

As you may or not know: I am having a lot of work stress. Much of this has to do with our new sheduling. We are having a shift bid based on 3 things, chats per hour, chat scores and attendance. I missed 2 days which put me from second, to the bottom of the list. So crappy days for me.

The Nature of the Shittiness has changed

I don't mean to leave anybody in the dark about what is going on, but I don't have the willpower to accurately explain right now. I'll be doing a writeup pretty soon. like maybe friday

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

I have a plan to deshittify the situation

Part of yesterday's shittiness came finding out I am dead last in picking a shift. I believe I'll find out tomorrow.

Sunday, August 17, 2008

I'm enjoying my book...

It's part 1 of book 2 of the nights dawn trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton. Top notch Sci-fi, it features the soul of Al Capone possessing another person as a prominent character.

Just a few more hours, I'm looking forward to it. I'm getting up a little early so I can play.

Friday night = wow back on

Oh yeah, gonna roll a priest or hunter I think. It's gonna be fun after the break what has been taken.

I am in desperate need of a massage

Tense back, shoulders, neck, hips, hands and feet. I pretty much feel broke down all over. If I could get a decent massage for less than 50 bucks I would hop on it as soon as I got paid on the 15th. Hot showers only go so far, and sometimes it's bad enough to keep me from sleeping. I guess for now I'll just live with it and get it taken care of when I can.

stress fucking sucks

I woke up in pain this morning because of stress, like a terrible, aching band across my shoulders.
It distracted me at work all day, and because a couple of my coworkers (whom I like quite a bit as friends) decided that they can't act like fucking civil human beings for the last hour of the day on the last day of the week, caused me even more stress.

Got my second music lesson today, this time on Mik's SG, it was awesome, but that had to be cut short because his roomate got really pissed at us and couldn't even be fucking polite about it. At this point I've decided I'm going to buy a guitar. I just have to decide if it is cheaper to but a pack from guitar center or to buy used separately. I think I want a stratocaster, but I'm not entirely sure about that either. Something basic and not too pricy for a preference.

The boredom is upon me...

I'm both very stressed about things I can't control and bored out of my mind. I can't even get interested in the things I am stressed about.

The core of my stress is, as usual, money. My wishes to be not bound to a job, while have the resources to do what I want, go still unfulfilled.

Someday I will have resources to do what I want without worry, but that day has not yet manifested itself

Beer makes the world better

I feel that I earned my one beer this evening. I pushed a pickup truck for like 15 minutes so we could give it a jump.

Got my first lesson on the Bass today

My buddy Mik gave me a lesson today for about 2 hours on the Bass. It was fun, I'm going to wait a couple more lessons before I decide if I want to buy a guitar for myself or not.

I love television streaming sites

Places like Surf the channel and their ilk. I have so far today watched: 1 episode of Hercules, 1 Episode of Justice League Unlimited, 1 episode of "The Dresden Files" and I am on my third episode of BONES. Thoroughly enjoyable I say.

It's strange too, there seems to be three kinds of video on these sites:
1) Subtitled Asian episodes.
2) Advertiser supported episodes
and
3) Episodes broken up into 2 or more parts.

Generally type 2 have the best audio and video quality, probably because they aren't bootlegs hastily converted to flash video. The problem stems from the fact that, as advertiser supported programming, you do have to watch a few ads. This makes it less Ideal than downloading an episode or buying it on DVD, But this is a minor annoyance at worst.

Mmm... Karamel Sutra

My favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor. half caramel, half chocolate with a core of creamy caramel running through it, pure brilliance.

Edit: Upon further consideration I haven't produced anything of value for a while, so here goes.

I am sick and tired of having to rely on a callous, globe-spanning corporation for my way of life. I work 40-43 hours in an average week and still cannot seem to pull myself out of debt. I owe money more places than I thought I could, I can barely keep food in the house and I worry that I could get sick or hurt and I wouldn't be able to afford it. On top of all this, gas prices are only barely starting to decrease after a summer of record highs and I know that it's only temporary.

Mark my words, gas will reach over $5.00 a gallon by may 2009. This is going to be the trigger that causes rioting in the streets. There will be a change, there must be a change or there will be violent revolution. This is not a thing I hope for, or want. But it is a thing that I know will happen.

The same things as would have been effective at the start of this are still going to be effective now. We need to ban SUVs that get less than 25 miles/gallon. We need to stop pimping big, ridiculous trucks. We need to start walking to the store when it's only 10 blocks away. "Driving for Fun" needs to go away. Carpooling is still viable, I give rides to 1-3 other people every work night. We are tapping a finite resource, and while it's a very large quantity, it's still finite.

Also, healthcare crisis, childcare crisis, carbon emissions crisis, e-terrorism crisis, food shortage crisis, the wave of decapitation murders sweeping the world. It's a scary world we live in, thank god Hitler is already dead.

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

I would say that I'm as broke as a joke...

But you have to give credit to a good joke. I'm so poor I have to couch scavenge for enough money for gas to get to work tomorrow. I'm so poor your mama said "Damn, he more poorer 'n my grammar". But friday comes soon and with it the boon of a paycheck. I can eat drink and be merry 'pon that beautiful day.

Monday, July 28, 2008

I have surrendered fuel to the vampire army.

1 pint of my blood, given freely today. Work was otherwise blah. Payday is friday, and I'll have near a grand.

Everybody is (something) for the (something else)

I'm glad the work week is over, it's very un-energizing. I really want to do something creative this weekend, but I think it's going to be for sleeping, cleaning and reading. Not much of anything when it all comes down. Also I think I might need new socks, which is especially confusing since I bought 2 packs like 3 months ago. Oh well, such is life.

New Roomate Confirmed

It has been decreed that he is allowed to stay. Hooray! money good as is helping out someone who doesn't deserve the crap he's taken.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

I may have a new roomate soon

My friend Clint from work may be moving in with me, we are at 2/3rds agreement right now, he needs to meet krysis to finalize and we're gold. It's easier running a household with 3 incomes than 2.

I hate 8 AM training

I have an 8 AM training class that lasts 8 hours in the morning. I hate this Cracka Ass Bullshit (capitalized to emphasize), according to the people that took it today, it is 7.5 hours of pointless and .5 hours of actually useful information. I dread this shit.

Well, off to bed since I have to be up at 7.

It was as awesome as I could hope...

Hellboy 2 was worth the money. Engaging characters, Impressive costume and makeup, Incredible locations and a plot that kept everything moving. It was both fun and good.

Pros: Excellent fight scenes, a little more of hellboy's childhood and character design that keeps you looking around the screen for more. Also look for drunk Hellboy.

Cons: I can't really think of any.

See it if you can, the big screen is worth it to take everything in.

Monday, July 14, 2008

I'm going to go see Hellboy 2

It's going to be awesome. I'll do my best to do a review either after the movie or tomorrow.

Home is out of the sun

No crabs, but I did catch a little bit of sunburn. All is well, it is a mild one. I am quite tired and I think I'm going to spend a whole afternoon in front of some screens.

Word for the day: Mnemonic
Example sentence: Johnny Mnemonic is a hilariously awful movie.

Hollywood reminder: Cybernetic dolphins aren't half as cool as you think.

Gone away, soon to return, remade.

I am being cast anew in a mold made of sun, fresh air and sea. Resting in nature, puppy by my side.

Leaving the regular world behind.

Friday, July 11, 2008

By the time this posts, I'll be gone... camping.

At the coast, gonna catch me some crabs, the marine variety, not the ones that you need to shave your crotch and get special shampoo for. For all both of you that read this and aren't going to be there, you do something fun too. Like see a movie maybe, or live music or something.

It's Always the best answer

The best question for it is: Robocop?

I loves me some Robocop, violent maybe a little exploitative and misunderstood by many who watch it. It's the ultimate parody of a cop movie. Even Judge Dread takes itself too seriously to wrest the title away. I love it.

A stunning revelation I am sure.

Happy America Number One Best Day!

It is the fourth of July, I tell you this in case your only means of learning the date is from me.

Today is the day where we celebrate our independence from the British by doing between zero and 3 of the following:

1) Fireworks: what better way to celebrate america, than by setting off chinese explosives in our yards, driveways and streets.

2) Picnic/barbecue: Coagulated meat tubes, dubious hamburger that has been sitting in the heat all day, the cheapest cuts of steak and chicken poorly cooked over chemical soaked bricks of carbon? YES PLEASE! Despite my sarcasm, this is the one thing I probably want to do most out of this list. Sadly I have no grill and have not been invited to any barbecues, but that's probably for the best, per reasons that will be mentioned below.

3) CAR SHOPPING: This is the day that all the car dealers pull out the fucking stops and go full force selling some vehicles. I don't know who decided that July 4th is a good day for car selling, but everybody latched onto the idea. You can barely turn on a TV or radio in the two weeks prior without being bombarded with an extreme saturation of dealership ads.

Don't get me wrong, the 4th can be a lot of fun, but it has become one of those holidays that, over the years, I have simply cared less and less about. This year I am going to spend the day at home with my sister, roommate and an intoxicant substance. I will not be answering my phone or responding to emails during this time to avoid potential problems.

Happy 4th of July, Rockets red glare and all that.

Thursday, July 3, 2008

My health problems are AWESOME!

There may be a little sarcasm there, just a little. I didn't go to work today, this is because I was pretty confident that I had Pink Eye. If I did, it is pretty much gone already. The other option was an insect or spider bite, something in my eye or something even weirder.

I'm going to try and get some rest.

Movie Sign!

Off to watch Friday the thirteenth part 9. Whatever

In other news...

I forgot to mention this, I have sucessfully hacked my PS2, added a hard drive, backed up games and patched one that didn't work right. I am willing to do this for others at no charge if they provide the materials. Said materials are: A PS2 (not the slim variety), An IDE hard drive of less than 120 GB, a PS2 network adapter (needed for the Hard Drive to work) and a memory card with at least 1.5 megs free. Since mine is already set up, it makes the process easier for others.

I am becoming increasingly concerned about my supervisor on up

Upon deeper consideration today, I realized that my supervisor 2 (jeremy) made a big mistake yesterday. He gave me, a person who should not be privy to it, information concerning corrective action for another rep. Not by accident or the wrong form or something, he flat out told me. This is information I have absolutely no business knowing. I'm also becoming really uncomfortable with the management style of john and jeremy. I'm going to contact the HR office sooner rather than later.

Monday, June 30, 2008

My Boss Is Kind of a Douche Pt.2

I get to work today, bright and early at 12:54 in the afternoon. My boss (john) pulls me into a meeting room with out Supervisor 2 (Jeremy) and proceeds to do the following:

1) Give me a verbal warning about not having done enough phone time last week. Admittedly I only did about %50 of the required time, but it was the first week we had to do it.

2) Let me know that two of the people I like best on the team have been kicked off of it for "Chat Avoidance"

And 3) Tries to tell me that I am partially responsible for #2 and that the only reason I was not kicked off was that he didn't want to gut his closing team (at this point me).

He can tongue my sack though. I did 72 chats today, and I was only taking chats for 7 of the 8 hours I was scheduled (I did an hour on the phones today). For those of you what are bad at math, that comes to 10.2857 chats per hour or 9 per hour if we want to count the time I was on the phones. I was working by myself for 2 hours and was taking calls (easy ones) and chats at the same time.

One of my Roomates appears to have fallen off the face of the earth

Seriously, he has vanished without a damned trace and I have no idea where in the hell he is. Plus he bastard owes me 400 bucks.

Anyway, thats all for tonight. No epic revelations or stories of fail.

I hate phone time...

I was subjected to the first of the 4 hours of phone time since I started in RepAssist. It was terribly boring, It didn't help I was taking supervisor calls and only took 1 in the entire hour. It wasn't even a long or interesting call. It was a customer disputing their bill. I shut the guy down quickly and politely. Not even worth the time, I got paid $12 for 7 minutes worth of work.

In other news, I have officially surpass the halfway mark in the friday the thirteenth series. I plan to move onto movie 7 tonight, tentatively finishing the series by the end of the week.

Anyway, I need to eat and drink something before I pass out, so to all I say: Best wishes from the Night Kitchen.

On horror

I've come to find, over the years, that the very best horror movies aren't, by necessity, the very best of movies. This doesn't mean that they don't need a decent script, actors, costumes, makeup, props, sets, location or a million other vital things. They need all of those things as much as any movie. But, by the very nature of what the filmmakers are creating, they can stretch very little much further.

Some examples:
The mask Michael Myers from Halloween wore, is a William Shatner mask with the eye holes enlarged, the eyebrows removed, the hair poofed and the whole thing spraypainted white.

The entire movie of Evil Dead, was filmed for $375,000.

Friday the 13th was made for $550,000.

These are not high budget films, even by the standards of the time they were made in. Horror movies in general, have always been a little tongue in cheek. And making horror somewhat funny is not without it's merits. Lightening them up a little allows us to take our fears and become friendly with them. It allows us to peer into the darkness inside man's mind and see the little clown waving back from the very depths. We see the world as we would like it, a place where unstoppable killers are defeated by a single person and the world is safe (at least until the next installment). The world becomes a place where the boogeyman can be taken out by a well placed machete blow and where all the annoying characters get taken out first.

However, a problem has arisen. Anybody with a digital video camera can go out and film a TERRIBLE ABOMINATION of a movie. Horror needs film, or at least a digital cam that can replicate the qualities of film. I don't want to watch some idiot smear corn syrup on their chest and have it look like a terrible family reunion video. I want some impact and the suspension of disbelief that is only possible with some kind of budget.

I will admit to liking some of these crop of horror movies. But the ones I like have something to set them apart: B,C or D-list celebrities; An excellent grasp of low budget makeup and effects; Snappy, clever writing that doesn't seem like it's being delivered by a total moron; or people with a real grasp of what their movie should be. Lack any one of those and the best you are going to get is some blonde rubbing corn syrup on her breasts and fake screaming.

You know what else I don't like? Torture movies. SAW (the first film) was an exception, because it was more psychologically driven than the others in the franchise. I'm more looking at movies like HOSTEL (1 and 2), the rest of the SAW series and movies like Turistas. I do not enjoy these kind of movies, I like a psycho with a clever kill, But the movies where they stretch out the suffering of the victims? Not a fan. Also, why are these peoples hideouts always really filthy? Like smeary black crap on everything, rust everywhere, flickery lights. From my admittedly small grasp of Psychopath psychology, these people tend to want to see everything they are doing, not have rivulets of crap all over it. But I digress, I just wish we could get less of these and more monsters (human and otherwise) stalking nubile youths until there inevitable deaths.

Please?

Thanks hollywood, I know you'll never read this.

Belated 30 day BLAGSTRAVAGANZA!

First up, Some Videos:
Thermite IS AWESOME!
The Best Commercial Ever.
Movie Trailer Edit = hilarious
Classic Salt 'N Pepper

Now some random websites:
My favorite cooking wiki
A knife, hand forged out of a railroad spike
The homepage of Inspector Ham and Eggs
The Word Detective

I have in my head, at this moment, some ideas for a setting for a story. The problem is that, while that part of my idea is easily fleshed out, I have no idea for a plot. I have some character ideas, stuff like that, but they don't lend themselves to the spontaneous generation of plot type stuff.

I shall endeavor to flesh it out as I can.

In work related news, I was informed yesterday that, as of monday we all (RepAssist) have to do 4 hours of phone time each week. I don't like this but I will do it until the boss can convince the client that it is a bad idea.

Also, as of last night I have black hair. My boss and His boss said that I was in danger of being put back on the phones permanently if I did not change it from the blue.

Anyway, here's to 30 more days, and 30^10 more than that.

Friday, June 20, 2008

I missed the 30 day mark and didn't even notice

I'm going to do a REALLY big post tomorrow. I would do it tonight but I'm still feeling a little bit under the weather. There's a pretty good chance that I'm going to spend tomorrow doing nothing but linking stuff here and lying on the couch. I guess I might try and go out to get a new satellite speaker, my front right surround speaker went out and I need a replacement or it will bother me forever.

I would post something interesting, but I have to be at work at 8 am (yes I'm still working until 10 pm) tomorrow. I really hate 14 hour workdays. I'll post about it if I haven't gone mad(der).

Blog to the past

I think it still counts if I haven't gone to bed yet and/or the sun hasn't come up yet.

I loves me some steak and dune.

I'm still working on that story Idea I had. I should have something soon.

I loves me some barbecue

I just got home from my buddy Vince's place. There was steak, chicken and sexy burgers. Also beer.

It was a lot of fun, there was a bunch of people there, including my boss (who thankfully left on the early side), my buddies Ivan, Dustin and Brandon. Good times.

I've got a story idea brewing

I'll try and post some of my idea this weekend, but my sister just got home from eugene.

Later, nerds!

My boss is kind of a dick

My boss pretty much told me I need to change my hair back to "natural" hair color. I span a line for my boss about how it would damage my hair to change it so quickly. But I pretty much only have a week before it gets changed again.

It's a damned shame, because I really like my hair the color it is. I'll probably dye it black or something "reasonable" like that.

something something, put on sunglasses, one liner

CSI miami is devoid of any redeeming qualities whatsoever. EDIT: It's the same as taking regular
CSI, a show which I like a lot, adding needless action sequences and making the characters even more one dimensional. The only thing I like about the show is caruso's predictable one liners.

Time to watch a movie.

Looks like he was wrong *sunglasses*, Dead Wrong.

I got a new rat

I don't know if I mentioned this to anybody, but one of my rats died. His name was badger and he was cute.

He was also a bit on the scrawny side. I don't know if he was sick or had parasites or anything like that. I just know he ate just as much as cow but never got any bigger. He was friendly and never bit anybody. I will miss him.

But, I got another rat. He is already friendly with cow and seems to be settling in quite well.

At some point I will have pictures of all my pets up here.

That's all I have in me tonight. Goodnight and do not be consumed by the moon worms.

I've decided to dye my hair...

I'm going to dye my hair dark blue after D&D tomorrow night. I've wanted to do it for a while, and I figured that this is as good of a time as any to do it. Worst case? I don't like it and I bleach it out after a week or two. Pics will be up on myspace after I do it.

Also, I picked up some shaving soap and a brush today, I'm going to try it and see how I like it. If I don't then I'm only out $7 so no big deal.

With Great Car Comes Great Responsibility...

Being one of millions invested with both a car and a drivers license, I am put in an interesting position by this mere fact. I am called upon to do things, at my own expense (gas, wear and tear, etc...), by other people with no consideration as to the impact to myself. The thing is, I don't really mind most of the time. I've been know to offer rides for people and I've been known to do ___ Runs for people. If I'm already going a direction it's especially not a problem. But it's starting to become too expensive.

It was reasonably easy to afford gas when it was around $2.00 a gallon, harder when it reached $3.00 and now that it's $4.00 it's really hard. Let's examine shall we:

I drive roughly 25 miles a day round trip for work. I drive an additional 5-10 miles on an AVERAGE day for personal business. My car gets (approximately) 25 miles to the gallon.

So, for an average week of driving I use approximately 7 gallons of gas, or round to 30 gallons per month. That used to be $60 a month, which is not so bad in terms of transportation costs.
Now that costs me anywhere up to $120 a month, a difference of up to $60. That differnce could get me:
one 360 game
or 2 new roleplaying books
or 4 fifths of decent liquor
or 5 racks of good beer
or lots of not so good beer
or 15 books at powells
or 4 months of WoW
or a decent meal out for 2-3 people
or a good amount of steak
or 1/2 of a subwoofer
or 2 gigs of ram
or 1/2 a new hard drive
or 20 24oz. cans of pomegranate rockstar
or 3-5 dvds
or 1 1/2 full seasons of something on DVD
or 30 boxes of shisha for my hookah
or 2 100 disk spindles of blank dvds
or 3-4 cds
or 1/4 of a new gun
or 1/2 of a decent power tool
or 60 bags of individual size cheetos (crunchy)
or 20 big bags of cheetos (crunchy)
or 3 co-pays on my insurance
or 3/4 of a month of car insurance premiums
or 3-4 cakes
or 50 boxes of incense
or 1-2 new knives
or a trip to the shooting range for me and a friend
or a lot of dice
or 3 trips to the movie theater (including snacks)
or 2 new pairs of pants
or 3 nice new shirts
or 3-4 webcomic collections
or a box of mid level cigars
or lunch for everyone on my team at work
or 60 items at the dollar tree
or 1 month of my internet bill
or 1/7 of an iPhone
or an hour long massage
or a sack of groceries
or 1/50th of a 2 week trip to berlin or rome
or 1/15th of a 1 week trip to Las Vegas
or 1 share of a cow for a third world country
or 2 gifts of bees for a third world country
or a pocket watch

OR LOTS OF THINGS.

The problem is that the international oil cartel (and cartel is a deliberate word choice here) is doing what they do: Fixing prices to maximize profits. What is happening is that they are making it very hard for people to make a living if they have to drive to work. I strongly suspect that we are going to reach $5.00/gallon before the end of the summer. I also think that will be the breaking point. If It gets to that point I'm either going to carpool for EVERYTHING or i'm going to start taking the bus and only use my car in emergencies.

As a side note, I suspect we will have a big drop in prices at some point, before it creeps back up to previous levels.

Books, SERIOUS BUSINESS...

I've gotten back into the part of the cycle of my life wherein I read a whole lot. In the past 4 days I've read 3 books and am just about to start another. Books are magical things that truly grant us a glimpse into the mind of another person. Just glimpsing someone's idea of what motivates people is a fascinating study. Truly reading is one of my great joys.

But I know it shall come to pass that I start to read less again, probably a few months from now. This has always happened to me, I still enjoy reading during the down portion, but I feel less motivated to do it. It's the same with anything in my life that I focus on.

Until it passes, I will read at the pace that I currently am at and savor every minute, even if it's mostly crap.

Will. To. Act. Fading...

I don't feel all that inspired today, I offer the following by way of apology.

THIS

It's a Canadian sex ED psa, might not be entirely work safe, due to the dancing penis.

What The Hell Is It Fortified With?

I just got pretty plowed on fortified wines, a thing I had promised not to do again. A hellacious admixture of Night Train Express, Thunderbird and Cherry Cisco. I know that I WILL have a hangover in the morning. Still it tasted less like concentrated vomit than I remember, so it wasn't all bad.

P.S. This is the first time I've gotten drunk in months, so anybody who thinks I have a substance abuse problem can cram it in their asses. I drink only when I'm in a good mood, not to drown my sorrows or cheer myself up. I like a beer or two with dinner, but so do a lot of people, and I'm german/italian/british enough to get away with it.

I am unabashedly excited...

I got the different position I wanted at work. Starting just after lunch today I began training to do what I wanted. I am happy beyond mere words.

Brock Tales (woo woo)

Today I commemorate, on the iron hard base what the internet is built upon, a former coworker.
His name was (probably still is, I assume he has not died yet) Brock worked with me in my call center job the first time through.

Brock had a stutter, one that grew worse the more upset he became. A stutter is already a bad trait when working in an environment where voice is your only means of relaying information, but it was even worse in the high stress world of cellular phone customer service.

Brock was loud. He was in fact so loud, that I once heard him from clear across the call center, while I was in the bathroom. He also was "that guy" in training classes, the person you dreading being with because he couldn't stop asking questions long enough for the trainer/teacher to answer him.

Last but not least, Brock was an asshole. Not the really malicious kind, but the kind of person who would kick a guy in the ass when he bent over to get something off the the floor (happened to me). He was the kind of guy who would move stuff on your desk because he thought it was funny. And he was the kind of guy who would leave trash on your desk without thinking about it.

When I was coming back, I dreaded running into him again. Fortunately (and with some shame at how glad I was) he had been fired in the nine months I was gone.

Thank god.

Deary me, the day is nearly fled and me without a blag...

I stayed an hour and a half after work today without getting paid a cent for it. Why, you may be asking, why would you spend so much time in a place you merely tolerate being most of the time?

The answer is simple: I seek to elevate my working position. Like the working buddha striving for enlightenment and an office with a window, I seek to become more than myself, while doing less and less work. My goal is a quasi-promotion, moving away from being a phone monkey, towards a goal of semi-educator.

To this end, my time was spent on a 100 question quiz, designed to test my mettle as well as my ability to separate the knowledge-y wheat from the worthless, filler info, chaff. I strove to accomplish this herculean feat, of putting down answers and documenting my sources, in but a single day. And success was mine (mayhap I exaggerate, I did answer about 6 questions on other days, they but the smallest fraction of my work) for I finished and merely await my results as befits my noblest of goals.

I think I maybe should hit the hay soon. Farewell gentle souls, may your rest be undisturbed by angry ruminants.

Man, Oh Man Do I Love Me Some Pomegranate Rockstar...

Pomegranate being my second favorite fruit (Useless fact), this stuff seems to be made to sell to me. It helps that the stuff has 50% juice and a crapload of sweet, sweet caffeine. I get myself one of the big 24 ounce cans most workdays, and it helps me through my oh so painful morning process (Get it?). But enough about the nectar of the gods...

I'm applying for a new position at my work. It's a sort of helpdesk system and, while it doesn't pay better, it does have the advantage of getting me off the phones.

And now to wrap up. I had a caller today by the name of: Toni Bennett. It was an unremarkable call otherwise but the name got me to laugh after the call (if you don't get why I think that was funny I offer THIS by way of explanation)

Old Iron Man comics have the lamest villains ever...

I recently acquired a large amount of Iron Man comics and had forgotten what comics from the 60/70's were like. An example: Iron man has an enemy called "The Unicorn". The Unicorn is a former soviet, with a helmet that shoots beams, rocket boots and enhanced strength. He is also dumber than a brick and seems to attack Iron Man for no readily apparent reason.

And he's just the barest tip of the lame gimmick villain iceberg. There's the "Red Ghost", who can turn into mist. The controller, who taps into people's mental energy to make himself stronger and numerous others.

Despite these lame sacks of crap, he also has some really cool enemies, like The Mandarin And others with cool backgrounds and powers.

I'm still really conflicted as to whether or not I'm enjoying these right now, only time will tell.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is good

I'm gonna play me some more tonight, after my friends go home.

It helps that I figured out how to un-bugger the camera controls.

From hells bowel I stab at thee...

I made my yearly visit to McDonalds today. I make an effort to go at least one time every year to remind myself why I don't eat there. However, it did inspire me to review what I ate, so without further ado I do so:

1) Double cheeseburger: Bland, lacking any real texture and with cheese that doesn't deserve the name. The best thing I can say is that the condiments were evenly distributed.

2) Chicken McNuggets: These were overcooked and, while I acknowledge that I may simply have gotten a bad batch, I was disappointed. The honey mustard dipping sauce was too much mustard, not enough honey.

3) Baked Apple Pie: I liked these better when they used to be fried. Too much cinnamon to cover up lacking other flavors.

4) McFlurry with Oreos: It's near impossible to mess up vanilla soft serve with oreos in it, and they didn't mess it up.

in other news I took back my defective LG burner and picked up a pioneer, Here's hoping it has no problems. Anyway, I'm going to maybe go to bed or something. Goodnight sweet prince(s/ess/esses).

Kingdom of the Crystal AWESOME!

Indiana Jones kicked some ass! It has commies, explosions, ridiculous plot devices, twist turns and everything you expect. More on it after I get home after work tomorrow.

The sweet embrace of morpheus (you are the one, neo) beckons me unto my bed.

Corporate Underbelly 2.0

Today I had another needlessly long training class. This one was almost 4 hours, again for material that could have been beaten to death in a mere 45 minutes. Fortunately it seems like it's going to be the last needless one for at least the rest of the month.

To mitigate the boredom I get to see Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at midnight. BOOYA, or perhaps if you find that too anachronistic, HELLZ YEAH BOYEE!

I be out doggz.

I are an voter!

I have officially participated in the democratic process, my ballot is marked (where applicable), sealed, signed (where applicable) and had been dropped into a big blue tub (where applicable).

Since voting isn't like birthday wishes, where telling makes them not come true, I am inclined to reveal 2 of my votes. These are the ones I feel are most relevant out of the entire 2 sheet mess of a ballot, so here goes:

1) Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, I like him more than Hillary, but I don't feel that either is particularly more qualified than the other. A coworker raised an excellent point about one thing today: With the state of foreign relations, a female president may not be the best choice at this time.

2) Sam Adams for mayor. I like the guy and don't know enough about the other candidates.

Anyway off to play rockband.

Greetings from the corporate underbelly...

Today I attended a two-hour training class that only needed to be 45 minutes. The training itself was about minor system upgrades, nothing all that important or even particularly meaningful.

FUN FACT: You can stretch out ten pages of material if you have someone read it out loud.

I'm off to read comics now, don't get eaten by wolves while I'm away.

Dammnit LG!

Last week I bought myself a new LG DVD burner from Fry's. Now it doesn't burn dvds at all. It plays dvds, it burns CDs, but it will not burn what I want. I have to go back to Fry's, and I have do it saturday or before to be able to return it.

MOST DISPLEASING.

Pesky soul! I better make sure nobody finds out I have one...

Yesterday, whilst driving to beaverton to drop off my friend's air conditioner, I saw one of those things what poets and artists go on about: I saw the setting sun transform everything into molten gold. Everything faintly shimmered and was drenched in warmth.

It was magnificent, one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a long time.

On an unrelated topic, today is my sister's 18th birthday. Happy birthday to her and all that.

If I wanted to sweat from my balls I would live closer to the equator...

What the fuck is wrong with the weather right now? Seriously, we went from mid to high forties, right to an inferno that Dante Alighieri would be too sweaty to write about.

On a completely different note, let me tell you about a call I took at work today.

This woman had racked up about $200 of overages on her phone bill. She had used the traditional method, talking more than she had minutes, to do this. However she was insistent that her mobile to mobile call were to blame, which was not the case. If we had charged her for the mobile to mobile calls it would have been closer to $600 in overages instead.

She was insistent that I was wrong and that she was being lied to by my company (not the case, surprise!). Then she hit me with the big one: Not only could she not pay the bill, but we were keeping her from feeding her children. Like some freakish cellphone secret police, we were not allowing her to feed her children(somehow). And then she repeated that, repeated it every time I tried to get a word in edgewise. In fact, she would ask a question and then interrupt me with that when I tried to answer. This continued for a good ten minutes.

Then she asked for a supervisor, something which I do not have a problem with. I offered to connect her to a sup, as she had requested one. Does she give me permission? Of course not, she tells me that I am keeping food out of her children's mouths . Finally I get her to an escalations rep, who takes the call, albeit with a smidge of trepidation.
CALL TIME: 25 minutes.

Now before you go thinking "Why 25 minutes, Thats not long for a serious issue at all!" Be aware that my average call time is less than 4 1/2 minutes. Meaning that this, a call which I could not resolve, took me more than 5 times as long as my normal work and accomplished NOTHING AT ALL.

Another story along the same vein: Whilst I was working for COMCAST, I received a call from an older woman on fixed income. This woman became quite agitated that her promotions had expired, causing her bill to increase some $35. According to the woman this increase in charges (which she had been advised of when she signed up), would prevent her from paying her MORTGAGE. She then began to cry, told me I should be ashamed and disconnected before I had the option of helping her.

Bleh, these are the calls I love to hate.

And LO! The angel brought forth the bounty of The Internet

First the funny:

Baby Got Book Oh you evangelical Christians, what won't you co-opt for your own fiendish goals.

hoodtube You may need to register for the "best" videos

Wondermark Strange, strange comics from a man with lots of old drawings.

Bad Candy Exactly what is sounds like.

Now other stuff:

Minus A hand painted comic, it's really nice to look at and has an odd charm.

Dresden Codak Weird not particularly linear comic with odd philosophical... tones.

Nanosonic Modern Technology is cool!

IBISTEK Modern Military Technology is Awesome!

I am the worlds laziest blogger.

Seriously, this makes like, my third attempt to actually start a blog/blag. I seem to have no staying power when it comes to making updates, I do like 3 and then never update again.

So I have a mission: Post a blog/blag entry every day, even if it consists entirely of a link to a webcomic I like or some crap like that.

Despite the fact that it is now technically Friday, this still counts as a Thursday post, what with me not in bed and all.

-Louis

Addendum: I won a neat little mp3 accessory pack at work today, It has retractable headphones, a wall charger adapter, a car charger adapter, a headphone splitter and a battery pack for the usb cable (sadly does not work). Hooray stupid swag!
